I started on the infrastructure side — Windows Server, Active Directory and Exchange for a stock exchange, insurers, agri-food and automotive groups. Fixing other people's systems at 2am is a good education in what to build.

Since 2021 I've been writing them instead: a group-insurance core rewrite, the Group Member Care app in Flutter, and now web and application modules on Azure as a senior developer at PTT Digital Solutions. The work is usually less about new features than about making the second year of a system survivable.

On the side I ship small things end to end — a Bitcoin block clock, a gold-portfolio tracker, a running-form analyser, a multiplayer deduction game — mostly to keep the deploy-to-production muscle working. Outside working hours I also build and run Prompt Plus Accounting (freelance) and four live Crafnia web products.

  • Primary developer of an Azure asset-management platform tracking about 130,000 assets: three web portals, a REST API, timer-triggered Azure Functions and a Flutter RFID scanner app on Azure SQL Managed Instance.
  • Cut a production name search from a 121 s average to 1.6 s — diagnosed a stalling parallel plan, wrote the DBA-applied MAXDOP stopgap, then a permanent query rewrite (case study); export file 191 MB to 20–30 MB.
  • Turned around a procurement system in two months: 2,530 quality-gate issues to 0, 85% backend and 64% frontend coverage.
  • Maintain 5 live applications across Angular, React and .NET; closed security findings on four more; ship through GitLab CI with security scans, health checks, rollback-ready scripts and English runbooks.

  • Led up to 3 developers (team of 7–8) rebuilding the group-insurance sales workflow: ran requirement sessions with executives, set the plan and timeline, reviewed the team's work before each release.
  • Rewrote the core group-insurance system in C#/.NET Core and Oracle; built the premium-calculation and work-tracking systems.
  • Redesigned and rebuilt the Group Member Care app in Flutter in 2021 (Google Play, 100k+ downloads since 2017): UX/UI, online claims and Firebase in-app notifications.

Where the two meet

An engineering degree explains the systems instinct; a business degree explains why I ask what a module is for before designing it. Both are why I write the runbook.

Ship it, watch where it leaks, then fix the shape of the thing — not the symptom.

Mystery Agents shipped with clients able to read the whole role map out of the payload in dev tools. The fix was not a patch; the draw moved server-side and the client kept only its own key.
