Timeline and budget range. Rough is fine — it decides whether I can take it on at all.

What happens next

I reply within a day or two, usually with questions rather than a quote. If the scope is clear I send a fixed price and a delivery date; if it isn't, I suggest a short paid discovery instead of guessing.

If it isn't something I should take on, I'll say so directly rather than let it drift.
